We extends a warm welcome and cordial invitation on behalf of Guwahati Obstetrics and Gynaecological society to the East Zone Yuva FOGSI 2017 to be held in Guwahati on 24th, 25th and 26th November 2017 at Guwahati Medical College Auditorium.
The conference is designed on the theme of "Empowerment Women-redefining its goal" with an aim to spread the message, creating awareness among the people about the issues related to in the present day scenario and to upgrade the quality of lives of the women through health education, access to health care facilities.
The first step toward 'Women Empowerment' is improving the health and health related issues of women and it should be given the topmost priority. A healthy woman can feed her family build her business, raise her children, inculcate ideas to their daughter for having good health and can inspire sustainable transformation in the community. Further improving Womens health and health related issues will create a healthy family and in turn a healthy society. This conference will benefit the yuva Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the torch bearer in their crusade of healthcare and will present an opportunity to the faculty from all over the nation to share and to experience the issues related to the theme
Considering to be the gateway of Northeast India, guwahati is the largest city in region and one the fastest growing cities in the India situated on the south bank of Brahmaputra river. Guwahati is well connected to rest of India by air with daily flights and by railways and roads. There are major places of tourist attractions in and around Guwahati including temples, wildlife sanctuary, and riverine islands
